New pedestrian access around KTRDC starting mid-March
In mid-March, contractors plan to relocate construction fence to allow pedestrian access from the west side of KTRDC to the Cooper Drive tunnel (see area marked in turquoise on the map). The pathway will be paved so pedestrians can walk along the sidewalk in front of KTRDC, turn right, and walk on the roadway to get to the tunnel. There is a handicap ramp at the sidewalk-to-pavement transition, creating an accessible route.
Vehicles will continue to share the road underneath Cooper Drive, so pedestrians should use extreme caution.
The route is projected to be affected from March 15 to August 30, 2025.
