USDA/ARS, UK Forage Animal Production Research Lab
Partnerships That Fuel Kentucky's Growth
Recognizing the college’s statewide leadership in research and service, the United States Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service is expanding its footprint on campus. A new, joint research facility will house leading-edge research in forage animal production, supporting two national research programs that advance this critical sector of the agriculture economy.
The USDA/ARS, UK Forage Animal Production Research Lab will house the following:
- 14 research laboratories (6 USDA, 7 UK & 1 support lab)
- A 6,000 square-foot headhouse
- 8 greenhouses
- 7 UK research labs
- 6 USDA-ARS research labs
- 1 research support lab
